Fixed excess + co-insurance for older dogs

For older dogs, the excess you'll need to pay when you make a claim is made of a fixed £125, plus 15% of the remaing bill before you'll get any reimbursement. This is not unusual for dogs over 8 years old as they become more likely to claim with age. They also become more expensive to treat but you should still be better off with an insurance cover.
